Vaccinium corymbosum 'Brigitta Blue’ is a stiff, upright blueberry shrub with ovate, dark green leaves and waxy, bell-shaped, white to light pink flowers blooming in May. Flowers are followed by the abundance of delicious, light blue berries with a crisp texture and great balance of sweet and sour flavour, ready for harvesting in late summer and autumn. Vaccinium corymbosum 'Brigitta Blue' is a cross between Lateblue and Bluecrop Blueberries. It grows best in fertile, acidic, moist, well-drained soils, in full sun or partial shade. It is self-fertile, but for the best crop it is good to have at least one different variety planted nearby. It can withstand coastal conditions and urban pollution. Mature plants require regular pruning. This neat and compact blueberry plant produces abundance of delicious fruit of superior quality. Blueberries can be eaten fresh or used for culinary purposes. They are also perfect for freezing. Suitable for growing in containers.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
