Pyrus salicifolia 'Pendula' is a lovely, weeping, deciduous ornamental pear tree with elegant, pendulous branches and narrow, elliptical, grey-green leaves similar to willow leaves, silver underneath, bronze-green in autumn. Lovely, single, creamy-white flowers bloom in early spring and are followed by small, brown ornamental fruits in autumn. Attractive to bees and birds. Weeping Silver Pear grows best in average, moderately fertile, moist, well-drained soils, but can adapt to a wide range of soils, including heavy clay. It prefers sunny, sheltered and somewhat exposed positions. Once established, it can withstand drought. It is resistant to frost and wind, but spring frosts may damage the flower buds. Tolerant of urban pollution. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require much pruning. Generally, pest-free. Pyrus salicifolia 'Pendula' is a lovely ornamental pear tree, perfect as a specimen or accent plant in small, informal, cottage, urban and coastal gardens. Excellent for industrial areas. Suitable for growing in containers, great for patio and roof gardens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
