Prunus cerasifera “Pissardii Nigra’ is a medium-sized, ball-shaped, deciduous tree with ovate to elliptic, deep purple twigs and leaves, bronze in spring, almost black in summer, orange and red in autumn. Masses of pure pink flowers with red calyxes bloom along bare branches in spring and are occasionally followed by red or yellow plums. Prunus cerasifera ‘Pissardii Nigra’ can grow successfully in a wide range of soils, but prefers moderately fertile, slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soils. It prefers full sun, but is tolerant of partial shade. It is very resistant to frost, but needs to be sheltered from harsh winds. Very adaptable and low maintenance plant. It can withstand air pollution very well. Black Cherry Plum is a stunning, ornamental, abundantly flowering tree, perfect as a specimen or accent plant in large informal, cottage, and urban gardens. Great in beds and borders and for informal hedges and screens. Since resistant to air-pollution, excellent in urban and industrial areas.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
