Prunus cerasifera 'Pissardii' is an ornamental deciduous cherry plum tree of upright, rounded habit, with ovate to elliptic, deep burgundy red leaves. The abundance of fragrant, bowl-shaped, pink, fading to white, flowers bloom along the branches in spring and are followed by edible, dark red, plum-like fruit in autumn. Prunus cerasifera 'Pissardii' tolerates most soil types, except too wet, but prefers moderately fertile, slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun. In partial shade, the leaves turn green. Resistant to frost, it needs to be sheltered from cold winds. Late frosts may damage flower buds. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Cherry Plum 'Pissardii' is, with its beautiful foliage and profusion of white flowers, is an excellent ornamental tree, perfect for larger informal, cottage, urban and wildlife gardens. Very resistant to urban pollution, therefore, suitable for urban and industrial areas. Great for beds and borders and informal hedges and screens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
