Prunus ‘Amanogawa’, or Cherry 'Amanogawa' is a wonderful, ornamental cherry tree. It’s a small, deciduous tree of narrowly columnar habit with ascending branches, smooth, brown bark, and colourful foliage – bronze green in spring, bright green in summer, and orange and red in autumn. Beautiful, sweetly fragrant, saucer-shaped, pale pink to white flowers, open from pink buds, and bloom abundantly in spring. Cherry 'Amanogawa' prefers fertile, loamy, moist, well-drained soils, but is adaptable to a wide range of soils. It thrives in full sun. It is resistant to frost, but late frosts may damage the flower buds. Needs to be sheltered from hard winds because they may strip the tree of its flowers. It is tolerant of urban conditions. Low maintenance plant. Cherry 'Amanogawa', with its stunning pink cherry blossoms, is perfect as a specimen plant for small, informal, cottage, and urban gardens. Excellent in narrow streets. Great for beds and borders and large pots and containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
