Small, brownish to purple, sweetly fragrant flowers, bloom in spring and are followed by dark grey, encapsulated seeds. It is naturally globe-shaped and a great alternative to Buxus. Pittosporum tenuifolium 'Golf Ball' can grow in various types of soil, but prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun or partial shade. The best leaf colour is achieved in sunny areas. It is sensitive to frost and needs to be sheltered from cold, winds. It is tolerant of drought, salt, therefore, suitable for coastal areas.
