Pittosporum ‘Arundel Green’ is a fast-growing, compact, bushy, rounded, evergreen shrub or small tree with simple, leathery, wavy edged, oval, glossy, dark green leaves, and tiny, fragrant, dark purple to near-black flowers along black stems, blooming in late spring and summer. Flowers have red filaments but don’t produce pollen. Round, woody fruits open to reveal seeds in sticky pulp. Pittosporum 'Arundel Green' can grow in a wide range of soils, but prefers fertile, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun or partial shade. It can withstand some cold, but needs to be sheltered from cold, drying, winds. Generally, disease-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Pittosporum 'Arundel Green' is an interesting-looking shrub, perfect for hedges and screens. Great for shrub borders, wall-side borders, and trellises. Suitable for growing in containers. Excellent for informal, cottage, coastal, and urban gardens. It can be easily trimmed into a topiary.
