Pieris 'Forest Flame' is a large, compact, rounded, evergreen shrub with narrowly ovate, pointed, glossy leaves which emerge fiery red in spring, fade to creamy pink and turn dark green in summer. Pendulous clusters of tiny, bell-shaped, white flowers, resembling lily-of-the-valley bloom in early spring and are followed by seed capsules that persist into winter. Pieris 'Forest Flame' prefers fertile, organically rich, acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun, but appreciates some afternoon shade. It can withstand frost, but needs to be sheltered from harsh winter winds, especially when young. Resistant to urban pollution and suitable for growing in cities. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Pieris 'Forest Flame' is an excellent shrub, attractive all year round. It is suitable for informal, cottage, urban, and woodland gardens. Great as a specimen plant or planted in groups or masses. Excellent for shrub borders, foundation plantings, and informal hedges and screens. Good for growing in containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
