Picea pungens 'Super Blue' is a small, slow-growing, dense, coniferous, evergreen tree of pyramidal habit, with horizontal branches, stiff, spicy, aromatic, blue-green to silvery-blue, needle-like leaves, and light brown cones. Picea pungens 'Super Blue' grows best in rich, slightly acidic, consistently moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun, but is tolerant of partial shade. Once established, resistant to drought. It likes cool climates and doesn’t cope well with heat and humidity of hot summer climates. It is extremely resistant to frost and it can withstand urban pollution. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Dwarf Blue Spruce is a beautiful small tree of exceptional colour. It provides interest all year round and is a perfect choice for creating colour and structure in informal, cottage, and urban gardens. Great as a specimen or accent plant. Suitable for growing in large containers.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
