Magnolia 'Iolanthe' is a vigorous, upright, deciduous shrub with ovate, fresh-green leaves, flowering from an early age. Beautiful, large, fragrant, tulip-shaped flowers are pale pink to purple, almost white inside, with pink stamens. They bloom in early spring from lovely pink buds, before the leaves emerge. Magnolia 'Iolanthe' tolerates a wide range of soils, but prefers fertile, humus-rich, slightly acidic, consistently mist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun or light shade. Once established, it can withstand some drought. It is resistant to frost and low temperatures, but needs to be protected from harsh winter winds. Flower buds may be damaged by late frosts. It doesn’t like transplanting. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Pink Magnolia 'Iolanthe' is a wonderful, flowering, architectural shrub, perfect as a specimen plant for smaller, informal, cottage, or urban gardens. Excellent for shrub borders and foundation plantings. Suitable for informal hedges and screens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
