Ligustrum ovalifolium, or Garden Privet, is a vigorous, dense, bushy, semi-evergreen shrub of upright habit with oval, glossy, rich-green leaves. Clusters of fragrant, small, creamy-white flowers bloom in summer and are followed by round, black berries, attractive to birds, in autumn. Pruning supresses flowering. Garden Privet is an undemanding plant, it can grow in various soil types and withstand various garden conditions and positions, but prefers fertile, moist, and well-drained soils, in full sun or partial shade. It is very adaptable and tolerant of heat, cold, and urban pollution. In very cold winters, it may lose some leaves. Requires pruning twice a year. Ligustrum ovalifolium is a perfect plant for formal hedges and screens. It reacts very well to clipping and forms beautiful, dense, fast-growing hedges, ideal for privacy screens, wind-proofing or noise reduction. Great for informal, cottage, urban and coastal gardens. Suitable for growing in containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
