Ligustrum jonandrum 1/2 std is a bushy, compact, rounded, lollipop-shaped, evergreen shrub with small, glossy, dark green leaves, lovely, creamy white flowers growing in clusters and blooming in summer. Flowers are followed by black or deep purple berries in autumn. This Privet Tree can grow in a wide range of soils, but thrives in fertile, moist, well-drained soils, in full sun or light shade. It doesn’t like too wet or waterlogged soils. Once established, it is resistant to drought. It is also resistant to frost and can easily grow in colder climates, but needs to be sheltered from harsh winds. Generally, disease-free. This beautiful half standard Ligustrum jonandrum is easily shaped with simple trimming, therefore, perfect for creating beautiful topiaries or formal hedges. Great for beds and borders, hedges and screens, and a nice addition to any informal and cottage garden. Suitable for growing in containers.
