Hedera helix, or English Ivy, is a vigorous, fast-growing, evergreen, climbing perennial or woody wine, with glossy green leaves. When young, it produces lobed, dark green leaves on non-flowering stems and spreads via aerial rootlets. When mature, unlobed dark green leaves appear on rootless stems that bear clusters of greenish-white flowers in autumn. Flowers are followed by orange to black berries in winter that hang on branches throughout the winter. English Ivy thrives in fertile, moist, well-drained soils, but tolerates wide variety of conditions. It can grow in full shade, partial shade, or full sun. It doesn’t like cold, drying winds. Once established, it is drought and salt tolerant. Low maintenance plant, considered invasive in Australia, New Zealand and parts of US. Hedera helix is ideal as a groundcover, great for banks and slopes and for wall-side borders. Perfect for covering fences and garden structures. Suitable for growing in containers and hanging baskets.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
