Dicksonia Antarctica is an evergreen, terrestrial tree fern, deciduous in colder areas, with black woody trunk covered with soft reddish hairs. Large, roughly textured, deeply divided, gracefully arching, dark green, tripinnate fronds form a large and beautiful canopy. Dicksonia tree ferns are some of the oldest plants in the world. Dicksonia Antarctica grows best in loose, organically rich, slightly acidic, consistently moist, well-drained soils. It thrives on partial to full shade. Its natural habitat is beneath the tree canopy of mature forests. It is tolerant of light frost and needs to be sheltered from strong winds. Very easy to grow. Generally, pest free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Australian tree fern is a wonderful, exotic-looking, architectural tree, spectacular as a specimen plant in home gardens or parks. In colder climates, it can be planted in containers and brought inside during the winter. Perfect for Mediterranean gardens, green houses and conservatives.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
