Cupressocyparis x leylandii 2001 is a dense, vigorous, coniferous, evergreen tree of pyramidal habit with small, blue-green, scale leaves in flat sprays, and small, brown cones. Cupressocyparis x leylandii 2001 is adaptable to any type of soil as long as it is moist and well-drained, though it can withstand temporary flooding. It doesn’t like dry conditions, but once established it is drought-resistant. It thrives in full sun, but grows well in partial shade. Very resilient plant. it can withstand frost, heat, winds, urban pollution and coastal conditions. It may require trimming and pruning to control the vigour. Leyland Cypress 2001 with its attractive, dense habit, good branching, and rapid growth is perfect for creating exceptional, formal hedges and screens. It can grow up to a meter a year and its thick foliage blocks sights, sounds, and strong winds. It is also great as a specimen plant in cottage, urban, coastal, and wildlife gardens.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
