Cotoneaster Queen of Carpets is an evergreen, spreading, low growing, mat forming, prostrate shrub with elegant arching branches and small, glossy, green leaves. Tiny, white flowers with yellow and red centres bloom in early summer and are followed by attractive red berries in autumn and winter. Cotoneaster Queen of Carpets thrives in full sun. The best fruiting and the densest foliage occur in full sun, but the plant also does well in partial shade. It can grow in any kind of soil as long as it is well-drained. Once established, resistant to drought and cold. Tolerates salt and coastal exposure. Needs to be sheltered from harsh winds. Low maintenance plant. Cotoneaster Queen of Carpets, with its evergreen foliage and attractive fruit colour, is an excellent ground cover, great for banks and slopes, perfect for informal, cottage, urban, and rock gardens. Suitable for coastal areas.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
