Cornus kousa 'Miss Satomi' is a medium-sized, spreading, deciduous shrub or small tree with tan and grey peeling bark and ovate, glossy, dark green leaves, deep red and purple in autumn. Four deep-pink bracts surround the centre cluster of tiny greenish flowers blooming in May and June. Flowers are followed by pink, strawberry-like, ornamental fruits attractive to birds. Cornus kousa 'Miss Satomi' likes fertile, rich, slightly acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soils, but can adapt to most soil types. It thrives in full sun to light shade. It is resistant to frost, but needs to be sheltered from harsh winter winds. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Japanese Dogwood ‘Miss Satomi’ is a stunning ornamental shrub, very easy to grow. It is perfect for informal, cottage, urban, and wildlife gardens. Excellent as a specimen plant. Great for beds and borders, shrub borders, or informal hedges and screens. Suitable for growing in containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
