Cistus x argenteus 'Silver Pink', or a Rock Rose Silver Pink, is a small, compact, rounded, free-flowering, evergreen shrub with lance-shaped, silvery-green leaves. Its lovely, tender, papery, pink flowers with gold stamens fade to white in the centre. In summer, the plant is covered with masses of flowers but each flower lasts only a day. Rock Rose Silver Pink is easy to care for and low maintenance. It can grow in poor to moderately fertile soil, but prefers well-drained soils and sunny, sheltered locations. It’s a Mediterranean plant so it prefers mild climates. It can be killed by cold winters. It is heat and salt resistant, therefore, suitable for coastal areas. Generally, pest-free and disease-free.
