Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'White Spot' is a medium-sized, dense, coniferous, evergreen tree with conical habit and sprays of feathery, variegated, pale blue-green with white marbling foliage and butter yellow tips from autumn to spring, white on new growth. Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'White Spot' is adaptable to a wide range of soils, but prefers fertile, humus-rich, slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun, but can grow in partial shade. It is very resistant to frost and exposed conditions, but still needs to be sheltered in very cold areas. It can withstand urban pollution. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t need pruning. It naturally forms a beautifully shaped shrub. Lawson cypress ‘White Spot’ is a wonderful, architectural, coniferous shrub perfect as a specimen or accent plant in informal, cottage, and urban gardens. Excellent for beds and borders, as well as dense hedges and screens. Suitable for growing in containers on patios and roof gardens.

Arundel Arboretum is a shrub and tree retail nursery with over 40 years of experience.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
