Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Ellwoodii' is a neat, slow-growing, upright, evergreen, coniferous shrub of columnar habit and dense, ascending branches, with short, soft sprays of feathery, silvery-blue foliage that matures to grey-green, and steel-blue in winter. Chamaecyparis lawsoniana 'Ellwoodii' is adaptable to almost all soil types, but prefers humus-rich, slightly acidic, loamy or sandy, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun. It is very resistant to frost and exposed positions. Tolerant of wind, coastal conditions, and air pollution. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. It keeps its perfect shape without pruning. Lawson's cypress 'Ellwoodii' is a tough and resilient plant, one of the oldest varieties of this cultivar. It’s a beautiful, architectural shrub, perfect as a specimen plant, planted in groups, or for dense hedges and screens in urban and coastal gardens. Great for beds and borders and rock and gravel gardens. Suitable for growing in pots and containers on patios or roof gardens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
