Aucuba japonica 'Crotonifolia' is a compact, medium-sized, evergreen shrub. It has large, leathery, glossy, green leaves with yellow speckles. Crotonifolia is a female variety that can have small, inconspicuous flowers followed by attractive, red barriers, if pollinated by a male plant. It likes neutral to acidic soil, moist but well-drained, but can tolerate any type of soil. It thrives in full shade or partial shade. It is very adaptable, resistant to frost and air pollution, generally disease-free and pest-free. Once established, it is also resistant to summer droughts. Very reliable plant that doesn’t need much care and can thrive in various climate conditions. Aucuba japonica 'Crotonifolia' can be grown both indoors and outdoors. Its lovely evergreen foliage is decorative all year long. If planted in a group, it can create a lush tropical scene. Great for banks and slopes, hedges and screens, and perfect for coastal areas. Suitable for growing in containers.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
