Acer palmatum 'Red Wine' is a distinctive variety of Japanese maple, admired for its captivating dark red to purple foliage. This deciduous tree exemplifies elegance with its relatively small stature and gracefully spreading branches, making it an excellent choice for a variety of garden settings. It typically reaches a height and spread of around 8-10 feet, presenting a harmonious, rounded canopy.
The leaves of 'Red Wine' are palmate, resembling the shape of a hand with fingers extended, and they intensify in color as the season progresses, providing a spectacular display of autumn color when they transform into vibrant shades of crimson and scarlet. The tree performs optimally in well-drained, slightly acidic soils and benefits from a location with partial shade, especially in areas with intense afternoon sun, to prevent leaf scorch.
Its compact size and arresting foliage make Acer palmatum 'Red Wine' a popular choice among garden enthusiasts for creating a focal point in the landscape, and it's also well-suited for container planting. It requires minimal maintenance, making it a preferred option for gardeners seeking to augment the aesthetic appeal of their spaces with minimal effort. Regular watering, occasional pruning, and protection from harsh elements ensure the longevity and vibrancy of this exquisite tree.

You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.
What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
