Prunus incisa 'Cunera' is a dwarf, upright, slow-growing, deciduous, ornamental, flowering cherry tree with beautiful, simple, cup-shaped, light pink to white flowers blooming in March and April. Oval, green leaves are deep purple in spring, and attractive yellow and orange in autumn. Flowers are followed by small, dark red fruits in June. Attractive to bees, butterflies, and birds. Prunus incisa 'Cunera' can grow in a wide range of soils, as long as they are well-drained, but prefers light, moderately fertile, neutral, moist, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun, but can withstand partial shade. It is tolerant of frosts but needs to be sheltered from harsh winter winds. Flower buds may be damaged by late spring frosts. May require some pruning. Prunus incisa 'Cunera' is a stunning, early-flowering, ornamental tree, with stunning blossoms and beautiful autumn foliage. Perfect for small informal and cottage gardens. Excellent for growing in containers on patios and roof gardens.
