Chamaecyparis Lawsoniana Alumigold is a slow-growing, narrowly conical, coniferous, evergreen tree with upright branches covered with flattened sprays of pale, yellow-green to golden-green foliage, blue-green when mature, and rounded, woody cones. Chamaecyparis Lawsoniana Alumigold thrives in fertile, slightly acidic to neutral, moist and well-drained soil, but is tolerant of most soil conditions, even chalky ones, except waterlogged. It grows best in full sun or partial shade. Easy to maintain. Resistant to frost but needs to be sheltered from harsh winds. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning, but can withstand hard trimming. Needs to be trimmed twice a year to maintain its shape. Chamaecyparis Lawsoniana Alumigold is a resilient, elegant, ornamental shrub, perfect for specimen or accent plant in informal, cottage, and urban gardens. The possibilities with this plant are endless. It is excellent for hedges and screens, suitable for growing in containers and great for creating topiary trees.
