Apple - Malus Domestica 'Fuji' is deciduous apple tree with a profusion of beautiful, fragrant, pure white flowers blooming in spring followed by medium-sized, yellow-green, flushed orange and red, tasty, crisp, sweet and juicy apples ready for harvesting in October. Apple - Malus Domestica 'Fuji' grow best in moderately fertile, neutral, deep, loamy, medium moisture, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun and best crop is achieved in full sun. It doesn’t grow well on its own roots, therefore it is usually grafted onto rootstock and often available as dwarf-or semi-dwarf tree. It needs a pollinator that blooms at the same time planted nearby. Requires regular pruning for better crop. It crops heavily and regularly. Fuji Apple is a hybrid created in Japan, but gained global popularity. It can be a nice specimen plant in informal, cottage, and urban gardens, but is primarily grown for its fruit. Fuji apples are very tasty and juicy and have a long shelf life because of their tough skin.
