Erica x darleyensis 'White Perfection' is a vigorous, spreading, mat-forming, dwarf, evergreen shrub with stiff, bright-green, needle-like leaves with yellow tips in spring. A profusion of small, bell-shaped, pure white flowers bloom from December to April. Erica x darleyensis 'White Perfection' is one of the toughest and most tolerant of heats. It grows well in most soil types and conditions, but prefers sandy, slightly acidic, medium moisture, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun, but appreciates some shade in hot summer climates. Once established, tolerant of drought. It is very resistant to heat, frost, and exposed conditions. Adaptable to coastal conditions. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Heather 'White Perfection' is one of the best white heaths. Beautiful and very resilient, it is perfect as a ground cover in cottage, urban, coastal, and rock and gravel gardens. Excellent for beds and borders, banks and slopes, and garden edgings. Suitable for growing in containers.
