Pinus koraiensis 'Silveray' is a cultivar of the Korean pine, a species of pine native to Korea, northeast China, and parts of Russia. It is a slow-growing coniferous tree that can reach up to 20 meters in height and 12 meters in width at maturity. The 'Silveray' cultivar is known for its striking silver-blue needles that grow in clusters of five. The needles are approximately 10-13 cm in length and have a soft, delicate texture. In the spring, the tree produces male and female cones, with the female cones turning brown and woody in the fall. This cultivar is a popular choice for ornamental purposes due to its unique color and shape. It is particularly well-suited for rock gardens, as well as mixed borders and woodland gardens. The 'Silveray' cultivar prefers well-drained soil and full sun to partial shade.
