Pachysandra terminalis 'Green Carpet' is a bushy, mat-forming, spreading, evergreen ground cover with oval, glossy, dark green leaves forming a dense foliage carpet, and tiny, white flowers blooming in spring and early summer. Pachysandra terminalis 'Green Carpet' is not a fussy plant and can grow in any type of soil, but prefers organically rich, medium moisture, well drained soils. In thrives in partial shade to full shade. In full sun, foliage tends to bleach. It is tolerant of heat, drought, and frost. It can withstand coastal conditions and urban pollution. It spreads by rhizomes and forms large colonies. Virtually, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Japanese spurge 'Green Carpet' is an excellent groundcover, especially for shady locations or planted under trees. Great for foundation plantings, around shrubs or along walkways. Good when planted in masses on banks and slopes for erosion control. Perfect for informal, cottage, coastal, and urban gardens.
