Euonymus europaeus 'Red Cascade' is a large, vigorous, deciduous shrub with oval, dark green leaves that turn golden and deep red in autumn. Tiny, greenish-white, inconspicuous flowers bloom in summer. They are followed by the abundance of beautiful, ornamental bright pink fruits. Fruit capsules split and open to reveal orange seed covers. The fruit matures in autumn and remains on branches throughout winter, bringing brightness and colour to winter gardens. Euonymus europaeus 'Red Cascade' is an adaptable plant that can grow in a wide range of soils, but prefers average, moist and well-drained soils, in full sun or partial shade. It can tolerate full shade, but for the best autumn colours it should be grown in full sun. This amazing plant is perfect as specimen plant in any small garden – informal, traditional, cottage or urban. It is also great for shrub borders, mixed borders, and informal hedges and screens.
