Clematis Daiyu, a part of a Boulevard series, is an attractive, deciduous climber with a lovely compact habit, bright green foliage, and large, rich, cerise pink flowers that bloom continually form May to October. It is flowering both from stems and axils, therefore, blooming from the ground up. Clematis Daiyu grows best in fertile, neutral, moist, well-drained soils in full sun or part shade. Its roots should be kept cool, shaded by other plants. Easy to care for. Its blossom attracts bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds, but the plant is toxic to animals. Clematis Daiyu is great for adding vertical colour to a garden. It should be grown with a support for climbing. It is specifically bred to be compact and suitable for growing in pots and containers. Perfect for covering bare legs of rose shrubs. It should be pruned to 25 cm above the ground in late winter or early spring.
