Salix Alba ssp.vitellina ‘Britzensis’ is a vigorous, compact, fast-growing, multi-stemmed, deciduous tree, popular for its orange-red and fiery-red new stems that look fantastic during the winter. It has narrow, lanceolate, green leaves that turn yellow in autumn. It’s a male cultivar with inconspicuous yellowish catkins in spring. Salix Alba ssp.vitellina ‘Britzensis’ can adapt to a wide range of soils, except too dry, but prefers average, moist, well-drained soils in full sun or partial shade. Best to be grown in sunny areas and moist soil. It is resistant to frost and exposed conditions. It is tolerant of sea salt and coastal conditions. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Very easy to care for. Coral Bark Willow is mostly grown for its colourful winter bark. It is great for shrub borders and planted in masses along streams and ponds. Excellent for banks and slopes for erosion control. Good for informal hedges and privacy screens. Suitable for cottage and coastal gardens.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
