Pyrus Communis ‘Williams’ is a medium sized, deciduous tree with wide crown, simple, ovate, green leaves, lovely, white flowers blooming in April, and light green or yellow pears, ready for harvesting in early summer. The flesh is sweet, juicy, and aromatic. It softens very fast, therefore not suitable for storing and best tasting freshly picked form the tree. Pyrus Communis ‘Williams’ can adapt to a wide range of soils, except waterlogged and rocky, but prefers fertile, moderately moist, neutral, well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun. It is very resistant to frost, but as an early bloomer, late frosts may damage the flower buds. Somewhat resistant to wind. Partially self-fertile, but crops best with a pollinator nearby. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. May require pruning and fruit thinning. Pear 'Williams' is one of the oldest English varieties of dessert pear. It bears heavy crops of tasty, juicy fruit, perfect for eating fresh, great for juicing, drying and cooking.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
