Pieris Japonica ‘Flaming Silver’ is a small, slow-growing, densely branched, evergreen shrub with elliptic, glossy, variegated leaves, bright red when young, turning pink to green with silvery-white margins. Young leaves make a wonderful contrast with older leaves. Clusters of lovely, fragrant, bell-shaped, white flowers, resembling Lily-of-the-Valley, bloom in spring. Pieris Japonica ‘Flaming Silver’ is fussy about its growing conditions and prefers hummus-rich, slightly acidic, moist, well-drained soils, in full sun or partial shade.
