Magnolia ‘Jane’ is a slow-growing, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub or small tree of compact, bushy, upright habit. Its ovate, dark green leaves, appear with copper tints in spring, and turn yellow to copper-bronze in autumn. Beautiful, fragrant, tulip-like flowers bloom in May and June. Late blooming protects buds from late spring frosts. Flowers have narrow tepals, red-purple outside, pure white inside, and emerge on bare branches before the leaves. Magnolia ‘Jane’ prefers fertile, rich, slightly acidic, moist, but well-drained soils. It thrives in full sun and partial shade. Its roots are easily damaged, therefore, it shouldn’t be removed once established. It needs protection form harsh, drying winter winds. Tolerant of clay soils, heat, and urban pollution. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Magnolia ‘Jane’ is a wonderful flowering shrub, perfect for small informal, cottage, urban or woodland gardens. It is great as a specimen plant and for informal hedges and screens, excellent for lawns, foundations, and shrub borders.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
