Hamamelis × intermedia 'Pallida' is a large, winter-flowering, deciduous shrub with a vase-shaped, spreading habit. Its ovate, medium-green leaves turn lovely shades of yellow in autumn. Very unusual, strongly scented, bright yellow flowers with four, narrow, ribbon-like petals and red-purple calyces bloom from January to March before the leaves emerge. Fruits often appear at the same time. Hamamelis × intermedia 'Pallida' thrives in average, organically rich, slightly acidic, medium moist, well-drained soils, in full sun or partial shade. Best flowering is achieved when grown in full sun. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require regular pruning. Hamamelis × intermedia 'Pallida' is a hybrid between Japanese witch hazel (H. japonica) and Chinese witch hazel (H. mollis). It’s an excellent shrub with the abundance of yellow flowers that bring brightness and colour to winter landscapes. Yellow autumn leaves are also very attractive. It is great for shrub borders and woodland gardens, informal hedges and screens, or as a specimen plant.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
