Cinnamomum camphora, or Camphor Tree, is a large, spreading, rounded, evergreen tree with rough and fissured bark, and aromatic, glossy, waxy, ovate, green leaves that smell of camphor when crushed. Masses of small, inconspicuous, fragrant, white flowers bloom in spring and are followed by clusters of black, berry-like fruits. Cinnamomum camphora can grow in most soil types, clay, loam, and sand, and prefers fertile, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. Too wet soil can lead to a root rot. Once established, resistant to drought. It thrives in full sun or partial shade. It can withstand moderate frost. Very adaptable to urban conditions. Generally, pest-free and disease-free. Low maintenance plant, doesn’t require pruning. Camphor Tree is a long-lived, good-looking tree, perfect as a specimen plant or a nice shade-tree. Excellent as a street tree but its berries can become messy as they fall to the ground. It is mostly cultivated for camphor and timber production.

About Us

During this time, we have developed a large stock of trees, mature evergreen shrubs, conifers, Japanese maples, cedars and olives. What sets us apart from a generic garden center is solid unwavering focus on trees and some bigger shrubs. You will find thousands of trees, hundreds of varieties and lots of experts who are working on the nursery and more than willing to help you to choose a plant for you.

What you will not find is hot tubs, garden furniture and plastic garden gnomes. In a nutshell, trees is what we know and trees is what we do, and only trees (and some shrubs to go with the trees).
