x Cupressocyparis Leylandii

x Cupressocyparis leylandii is an evergreen conifer with a columnar growth habit. It has dark green foliage. This gives a dense appearance, which is ideal for screening. x Cupressocyparis leylandii is Europe’s fastest growing conifer. As a hedging plant is it hated and admired for the same reasons. When properly maintained, it makes a super hedge. However, if it is left to get out of hand, it is difficult to get it back. By trimming in the spring and autumn, this can be avoided. This conifer is quite tough and will grow well in most soils. It has an eventual height of 20m+.
