Shrubs and trees December 2020

Arundel Arboretum remains open until Wednesday 23rd December when we will close at 4.00 p.m. and reopen on Monday 4th January 2021 at 8.00 a.m.

We have taken delivery of some stunning new trees and shrubs recently, so if you are still looking for the ideal present have you considered a tree or a shrub? We have an impressive range to choose from.

It can be immensely satisfying to plant a tree or shrub and watch it grow over the ensuing years and the recipient will have a permanent reminder of your kind Christmas gift.  Plants can have a dramatic impact on the landscape, especially if you choose a deciduous tree.  In the spring, it provides its beautiful blossom and going into the autumn, you will be rewarded with stunning colours and berries.

The autumn and winter months are an ideal time to plant trees and shrubs so that they can establish themselves before the next spring, thereby requiring less maintenance.  This can make a plant an ideal Christmas gift.  The following spring when you start your watering and feeding regime, you are safe in the knowledge that it has already had a good start, as it has been able to establish a good root system for strong branches and foliage for the following growing season.

This year has proved to be an immensely challenging year for all of us.  We are extremely grateful to our hard working staff who have worked tirelessly to ensure the smooth continuation of our business, together with our customers – old and new – for their patience in waiting for their wonderful trees and shrubs to be delivered and planted and to our suppliers for their support in making sure our deliveries arrived on time.

We hope you all have a very happy Christmas and our very best wishes to everyone for a safe, healthy and peaceful 2021.
